HookedPickleball was founded by husband-and-wife team, Marc and Gail Villanueva, both certified pickleball coaches (UPCC Level 1) who share a passion for helping players level up their game.

HookedPickleball Junior
HookedPickleball Junior is the kids’ pickleball program of HookedPickleball, created to introduce and develop the sport in a way that is thoughtful, engaging, and age-appropriate.
Rather than relying on one-size-fits-all drills, the program uses play, imagination, and cooperative experiences to support how kids learn best. Each offering under HookedPickleball Junior is intentionally designed to meet players where they are, whether they are picking up a paddle for the first time or building confidence through guided, story-supported play.
The current program under HookedPickleball Junior is Pickleball Explorers (ages 10 and below), a storytelling-based introduction designed for first-time players and early learners.
The program framework is thoughtfully designed by Coach Gail, an internationally published and critically acclaimed children’s author, alongside her work as a certified pickleball coach. This combination ensures the program is engaging, developmentally appropriate, and intentionally crafted for young learners.
